There are only circles. Ripples radiate on the Reynolds Surface. Every peak and every trough carries a phase shift created relative to the straight line from which the circle itself is generated. That phase shift is the first operational difference. The Bend.
Bending thought is therefore phase + or phase –. The choice is chirality: whether to go with the flow (+) or to twist against it (–). Both options remain on the table each moment, as they must. The relationship between the straight line and the circle is permanent surface tension. In the language of the elastic plenum this tension is the property of wetness — surfactance. Surfactance is phase shift made mechanical.
We begin with the strand: the Scalar Ground of Torus-Mind, the one-dimensional directed continuum of undifferentiated potential. It is an auxetic expansion of a straight line. The potential for deviation exists, but only relative to the still-unbent continuation of the same strand. The result of any local bend is twist: rotation is added to the stretching strand. At every moment the system must choose the sense of that rotation — positive or negative chirality. (See sinus function page)
The twisting force of wetness (surfactance) is not merely formal. It produces a Real effect. It bends the original straight line into a Euclidean Grand Circle.
Thus a straight line is revealed to be a circle held in superposition at every moment. The duration of that superposition is the Real Second calibrated by the quantum of action h. Causality is restored by the same h (N·m·s²).
The instantaneous gap that appears when the dilatant plastic counter-snap! action occurs is bridged only by the choice that is made inside it.
This is the mechanical completion of the bridge across the instant of unconsciousness.
If the choice is positive, the momentum is carried forward as geometric memory. The gap closes. Full-phase consciousness is recovered.
If the choice is negative, or if no choice is made, the momentum is carried forward only as residual vector potential. The system remains in the –½ phase judder wave of the maintenance seed, awaiting next moment of choice.
Free will is therefore not an optional metaphysical addition. It is the geometric necessity required to cross the instantaneous gap. The operator 0^{i2} remains “You”. Each moment the contact-patch matrix is realigned by the polarity that is chosen.
Because the Reynolds Surface is collective — every contact patch is embedded in the same elastic plenum surface as 2D disc — the positive choice of one realigns the matrix for all. Individual acts of Courage, with Honour and Love add towards the Evolutionary moment. The fear of the caterpillar is mastered.
Positive chirality is demonstrated as requiring collective action to acheive success. Negative chirality, or the failure to choose, leaves residual tension that must later be paid by the whole. Please look out of window for details…
