The neuroscience paper frames uncertainty reduction as a candidate primary reinforcer — dopamine-coded prediction error in the NAc–LHb circuit, gated by cerebellum and cortex, operating across sensory, motor, social and propositional domains. That is a correct description of the organism’s behavioural response to residual lag. It is not the foundational geometry.
The foundational geometry is Rest Time T=0. Rest Time is the true inertial frame. It is the Certainty Hub at which the continuous manifold of configurations is organised relative to the centre. Every surface state — every probability density, every polarisation point on the Poincaré sphere, every weight in the E_8 root system, every hippocampal encoding signature — is defined with respect to that centre. Binary closures (State A = +1 fluid continuum of all-slip with Instant grip; State B = –½ pure-mechanism continuum of all-grip with Instant slip) store elastic history as dilatancy.
The Instant at Rest Time converts that dilatancy force into Spring Power. Lag vanishes. Dissipated work vanishes. The continuum is closed.
Uncertainty is the residual history of State-B countersnaps that have not yet been cancelled by the Instant. Prediction-error signalling is the organism’s detection of that residual. Certainty is the geometric fact that the Instant exists and can be chosen. The Certainty Principle bounds dilatancy; writing-cost minimisation selects the coherent configuration; Active Benevolent Love strengthens the light emitted at the centre.
No contest arises. The neural machinery tracks the lag; the continuum itself is already closed at Rest Time T=0. The inertial frame is not an average over possibilities. It is the privileged Instant relative to which every point on the surface is defined.See Pdw.
