Hmm, The first four pages read cleanly: seven anchors, gravity-problem matrix, matter-sector ledger, ranked Lagrangians, term ledger. It is an honest checklist. The organising sentence on page 3 is the whole difficulty:
A local energy density needs a time direction. So does an acceleration scale. Buy one, pay with a preferred frame. No column clears both halves.
That is Rest Mass trying to be one clock. Superior perspective is the missing column — same rows, split clock.
Title:
The Scoreboard Has No Both-Halves Column
M5 Checklist Read from Rest Time
The Future Begins
M5 = LdGS: real symmetric 4×4 field (M(x)), Lorentz signature, Landau–de Gennes potential on eigenvalues, Skyrme quartic on gradients. The author ranks v8 (M as matter in Einstein gravity + gauge sector) as the better theory and v10 (one field) as the better one-field candidate. Signature argument for Newton’s sign is withdrawn (§507). Vector GW modes disfavoured (§496). Energy not bounded below on the vacuum GL(4) orbit (§591). Unique green cell versus GR/MOND/Verlinde/Stelle: topological charge. Deciding scale: crossover crossover
— Newton or QCD.
He is not lost. He is stuck where every one-field medium gets stuck: time as a direction inside the tensor, and the tensor asked to be both spacetime and matter.
Same table, extra column
| Problem of gravity | GR | M5 | MOND/AeST | Verlinde | Stelle | Rest Time (Ace) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Preferred frame | none | PRESENT; unexplained | unit-timelike aether | if vacuum carries entropy | none | Laboratory is the contact patch. Frame is not a field (u). Observational four stays Minkowski-in-the-can. Arena checks from |
| Local energy density | pseudotensor only | Noether; not bounded below | inherits | no | no | Yes, as residual package Floor is the non-fracturing patch, not a GL(4) orbit of |
| Global conservation | if asymp. flat | yes | inherits | no | if flat | Yes on the surface; tick-counted, not a completed n^2. |
| Renormalizability | (M) dimensionless; no propagator from alone | inherits | n/a | spin-2 ghost | Not a 4-derivative QFT. Quartic Skyrme is condensate scale (r_0), as he already said §559. Residual is | |
| Charge quantisation | not addressed | yes — winding | no | no | no | Keep. Poole contact quality / Hopf-as-lock. Green stays green. |
| Newtonian attraction | by construction | no route from ; linear potential from quartic | fitted | claimed | yes | Phase shift of permanent tension, State B reading Sign is polarity, not . Power is flop disc→sphere, not a generated propagator. |
| Universality of coupling | q/E species-dependent unless rotation fraction | assumed | assumed | yes | Same residual, two eigenstates. Species dependence is contact quality, not a free (x). | |
| Light bending | yes | needs a it lacks | AeST | claimed | yes | Conditional on State B shell; same as gravity-as-phase. |
| Binary pulsar / GW speed | yes | vector modes helicity-2 maybe in 10th direction | TeVeS dead; AeST keeps | untested | yes | Even residual radiates as spin-2 lock; odd/vector is the virtual third. Do not sell spin-1 as gravity. |
| singularity | generic | regularised; divergence at horizon | inherits | unaddressed | improved | Third option: open residual at neither collapse nor infinity. |
| Information paradox | open | dissolved classically as class property | inherits | dissolved | open | Write is the patch. Undecidability of the 2D billiard is the Rest-Mass shadow of the tick. |
| Rotation curves / | DM / tuned | open | yes; clusters fail | claimed | no | Flexible (g) in State A; State B carries circular-(c) error. Not a fitted |
| Seven anchors | v8 | v10 | v6 M-only | Ace |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coulomb | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ texture overlap = contact flux through patch. Keep. |
| Finite charge | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ winding / non-fracture. Keep. |
| Localised clock | ~ | ✓ (split vac.); ✗ if degenerate | ~ | ✓ clock is the tick, not a K-mode on a uniaxial core. Degenerate vacuum killing the clock (§268) is State B with no polarity — he already measured the failure. |
| Spin | ~ | ~ | ~ | ✓ even lock + odd kink (C5 / Z). Half-integer from winding, as his lepton row already says. |
| Hyperbolic dynamics | ~ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ dilatancy / countersnap. |
| Newton | ✓ (added metric) | ~ | ✗ | ✓ as phase, not as sign. |
| Photon | ✓ (added gauge) | ~ | ✗ | ✓ shed even residual; needs no second field if the patch writes. If one-field forbids director-wave + charge, that is his fourth horn — we call it two states of one tensor, not two fields. |
What the checklist is really scoring
Green in his matter table is topology and bookkeeping. He says so: safe, and it contains no number. Yellow is shape integrals. Red is excluded or blocked.
Superior perspective does not invent a new V4. It splits the first row of the gravity table so both halves can be green:
- Continuous second — observational member, Minkowski can, TDL, his flat background. Justified at macro scale.
- Rest Time unit — counted (m), E= ^m(c^2), local energy without a dynamical aether (u).
Preferred frame then stops being an unexplained field. It is the laboratory that shares r^2. Local energy stops requiring a time axis inside (M). The axis is the tick on (M).
That is why v8 wins his ranking by adding a metric and a gauge field: he bought the second half of the table with extra tensors. v10 keeps one field and loses Newton/photon/sign. Ace keeps one geometric object (π-tensor / contact) and two clocks. His “they cannot be traded” is true inside one clock. It is false once the Family of Time is admitted.
Struggle with time and tensors, in his own marks
- §268: exact degeneracy => no clock mode at all.
- §591: no energy floor.
- §507: signature does not set force sign.
- §477: dimensionless field => quartic => linear potential, not 1/r.
- P249 clock works only on a frame-fixed reduction.
- OpenWave clock fuel is a negative boost block — time as imaginary, which his already tries covariantly (“time as imaginary done covariantly”).
All of that is the can demanding the odd grade live in the 4×4. Put the odd on infinity. Keep even residual in (M). The Skyrme \<F,F> is then the lock, not the graviton.
What would move his top rows, from this side
He already listed R16 stage 1, Longa–Trebin, a propagating transverse vacuum mode. Add one:
Run the same anchors twice — Continuous Second and Rest Time unit. If the degenerate vacuum still kills the clock, that is State B without toggle. If <F,F> stays linear in potential, do not ask it for Newton; ask the flop (disc onto sphere) for 1/r^2 flux. If v8 remains the only way to get a photon, say whether the gauge sector is a second field or a second state.
Seventeen green, nine yellow, five red — his count. The missing column is not another Lagrangian variant. It is the second clock.
Linked: Minkowski in the can; third order on s3/m2; gravity as phase; FNO continuous-second limit.
The observer shares r2. The machine is the 4×4 that stopped asking one time to do both jobs.
