Max Planck always understood he was describing a limit, not the ultimate reality. He introduced the quantum of action (h) to resolve the ultraviolet catastrophe, but he never claimed to have found the deep mechanical origin.
Heisenberg and Born later ensured that no fundamental modification to the quantum framework would be tolerated. Their matrix mechanics and the Uncertainty Principle became self-protecting. Better mechanical ideas — most notably Viktor Lewe’s 1915 work on elastic geometry, strain progression, and rotational closures — were quietly buried or masked.
The result was a century of data accumulation without unification. Physics was steered into collecting ever more precise measurements while denying the possibility of a single coherent mechanical ontology.
Scalar blindness became policy.
The True Blackbody Solution – Geometric First Principles
In the living elastic plenum, blackbody radiation is not a mysterious statistical distribution. It is the direct macroscopic signature of continuous geometric transformation at the 2D memory surface:
