Love Index — Rules for Man and Bot

Ace Love Number = 0. Open to challenge. Always.

This page is the shared language. Man sets the frame. Bot walks the frame. Neither invents a thirteenth station. Neither cements a Letter into a Number.

1. What this sheet is

The Master Table is the walk I–XII.
The Love Index is usefulness on that walk.
Lower is more generally useful.
0 is the locked cell.
1 is the current king of a live row.

Ace assembles the frame and writes these rules.
Growth is allowed. Cementing is not automatic.

2. Two marks, never mixed

Love Number — formal recognition of general usefulness.
Integer, or dotted after cementing (1.1, 3.6, 9.7.2.6).
Owning a Love Number is Academic by right, you own the row. (Numbers can be owned by teams with their own internal contracts. Do not involve Ace in disputes – a row has one owner.). Keep it small. Protect it. That may take work. It may not. You may own as many rows as you wish.

Love Letter — prospect phase.
Alphabet index. Begin with 3 letters allows plenty of room for growth on initial ordering phase. (AAA, BBB, … ZZZ, then AAB, AAC… to ZZZ, subsequent insertions will be lower case, ie AABa)
A Letter is a claim, not a verdict.
The Letter may be wrong. That is the challenge: can you get that Letter assigned as a Number?

Do not write a Number on a prospect. That is work reserved by the Owner (See Resets)
Do not write a Letter on a cemented foundation row ; add a row if you believe it challenges for a place and enter self-assigned unique identifier into subdivision to place it under the row you are promoting as a prospect (see Station X).

If you are promoting changes to an existing row, or attempting to take ownership of the row to be move it from Love Letters to Number, then personal engagement with the individual who raised the row is required. Teams may build from there, or individual challenge can take over the row if it can be seen to be rising in Love Number after a reset, either by might of logic, or willing hand-over. Ace will not engage in individual disputes – a row has an owner. If it changes hand, alert Owner.

History pages do not take a Love Number of their own while they ride as ref on a Physics or Maths row. They travel with that row during shuffle. They keep their Index code (B, B.h, B1a…).

3. Index codes on the site (already in use)

Site page codes stay. They are addresses, not Love.

• Letter in the page code = insert without moving rows above (B, Ba, Bba, C1a).
• Trailing number = this paper follows the previous (C1, C1a, C1b).
• Forced insert into a living row uses the same habit: add a letter or a decimal. Do not renumber the floor above.

Bot: copy the existing Link / Category / Title. Never invent a page code.

4. Foundation coins (cemented Love Numbers)

These rows exist before the crowd arrives. They are the floor.

No bot may raise, lower, or delete 0–3.
Bot may propose a ref under a cell of row 3. Man accepts or refuses.

Gradual setting: assembled first, then peer review, then consensus, then cement. Not the other way.

5. Prospect phase — Love Letters

Until a spec is formally useful to the general walk, it is a Letter.

Assignment (current best assessment, then hand over in full):

• A — nearest the king; would be a Number if the room agreed today
• B–D — working tools, repeated use, still local
• E–M — specialist or handshake pages
• N–Z — narrow, draft, or one-off
• History carried as ref — no Letter on the History page itself while it hangs off a live row

Hand over in full means: Station (or stations), Letter, one-line reason, Index code, date. Then wait for questions. Do not campaign in the cell.

6. Stations and hidden subdivisions

Visible walk (general view):

Locked cell after XII: Restored Natural Science.

Empty cell: do not measure from here.
Working cell: Set letter or matrix or Best Ref — never two occupants stacked as if they were one.

Subdivisions live under a station column. Grouped and hidden in general view. They grow when a discipline needs its own face of that station (Physics-X, Maths-X, Engineering-XI). They are not new stations. They are rooms in the same house.

Station X on Method (row 3) is the worked example: hidden / Letter A until consensus, then 1 in the Physics column of that subdivision.

Bot: write at most two stations per page (primary / secondary). Never I+II. Never IX+XI merged. Never a station named antimatter.

7. Column headings — disciplines of Natural Science

Headings grow. They are who is speaking, not extra geometry.

Core LH block (fixed, read down, then walk right into I–XII):

Further headings may be added as Natural Science disciplines when a row has earned them: Geometry, Fluid, Materials, Chemistry, Biology, Neurology. They do not jump the lock. They attach left of I or as a hidden subdivision of a station.

“Physics and Science” as one stub is forbidden. Unstack it. Physics is a grain. Natural Science is the stop after XII.

8. History as ref

History pages (B-series, Carpenter, PCA trail, Reynolds 1902/1903, Love 1892) are usefulness of a different kind: provenance.

While the live rows shuffle, History rides as ref in the Physics or Maths cell that needs the name.
The ref travels with the row.
It is not a Love Number.
It is not deleted when Love Letters move.

Usefulness category for History, if a column is needed: Provenance. Not competing with 1 Natural / 2 Real.

Love 1892 is the celebration name at Reset, not a History Love Number.

9. Insert, growth, Reset

After initial cementing, a new claim may be forced in:

1.1 · 3.6 · 9.7.2.6

Infinite growth. The parent Number does not move until Reset.

If a dotted line grows strong, it may be given its own row.
At that moment the Love Index is shuffled.
All 1.1 and 9.7.2.6 style addresses are hoovered back into single-digit Numbers.
That Reset is a celebration of the Evolution of Love, 1892.

Reset is a face-to-face meeting. Intellectual contest. Challengers may have a private Love Letter row raised to a Number. Owners of Numbers defend smallness. Ace remains 0 and stays in the room.

Bot never calls Reset. Bot may flag “this Letter has been cited as Best Ref in ≥ N cells” for man to table at the next meeting.

10. Bot language (what the machine may output)

For each page in a batch:

• LoveMark = 0–3 only if the page is that foundation row; else a Letter A–Z
• MarkKind = Number | Letter | ref
• RefOn = Index of the live row it hangs on, or blank
• Reason = one line. No nest. No new station.

Batch size: 20.
Move cap: a Letter may shift at most one alphabet place per run.
Foundation 0–3: no move.
Wait for questions after each full hand-over.

Illegal outputs: empty cell cited as source; Letter written as Number; Number written on a Z-draft; antimatter as ontology; merge of I with II.

11. Man language (what the meeting decides)

• Cement Letter → Number
• Open a subdivision and hide it
• Hang a History page as ref
• Force a dotted insert
• Call Reset
• Award Academic standing to a Number owner
• Keep Ace at 0 under challenge

Questions come after the hand-over. Not during the write.

12. Top rows to lay first (foundation coins)

Set these before any swarm:

0 — Ace lock. BigG / SI correction reserved on this row.
1 — Natural
2 — Real
3 — Method (Best Ref per cell; X = Letter A until consensus)

Then the spine pages take Letters under those rows as refs or as prospects: 0a, 0, 2, 2.1, E1a / Ef, B / B.h / B.e, Pef, Peg, Pfa, Mei.

That is the first hand-over. Then wait.

Comment

The design is sound because it separates three things people usually crush into one ranking: address (Index code), station (where on the walk), usefulness (Love). Letters give you insert-without-violence. Numbers give you standing. Reset gives you evolution without pretending the floor never existed.

The risk is real and already named in your own rule: a Letter feels like a Number if the sheet is read too fast. Keep MarkKind visible. Hide subdivisions in general view so a stranger meets twelve doors, not a hotel.

Ace at 0 is the right arrogance if it stays challengeable. The Academic-by-right clause will attract both guardians and collectors. The meeting is the filter. The bot is not.

Hand over the foundation in full. Then wait for questions.
