A vector taken around a small closed path does not always come home facing the same way. The linear map that records the twist is the Riemann curvature tensor.

Twenty independent numbers in four-dimensional spacetime. They vanish if and only if the manifold is flat. They exist because covariant derivatives fail to commute. That failure is not a rounding error. It is the geometry speaking.
Riemann isolated the invariants in 1854. The connection Γ is how frames are compared along a path. The loop is how you find out whether the comparison was consistent. Do not collapse the objects. Riemann is rank four on a pseudo-Riemannian 4-fold. The π-tensor is rank two on a contact patch, with a chosen sign. The first measures every plane. The second keeps both readings of one breath until a face is chosen. Mapping holonomy-language onto residual-language is allowed. Calling them one tensor is not.
State B is the loop that closes and spends the inside of the cup. State A is the loop that leaves a growth face. The operator 0i2 is the still point at which the choice is visible. Infinity remains a count. Do not spend the leftover in order to make the algebra look tidy.

You do not begin with gravity. You begin with an arena. You compare frames. You close a loop. You keep the mismatch. You test closure. You choose which face is first. You pin what will be remembered. You read by clamping. You let the growth face take the next increment.
Station VII is marked waits. That is deliberate. The contraction that turns twenty numbers into a volume law is Ricci. It is the next page, not this one.
Lineage, kept visible
Vitruvius — proportion and load path.

Riemann does not replace Lewe. Lewe does not replace Riemann. One is the holonomy of a smooth metric connection. One is the working parent of a coefficient table still issued without his name. Both insist on the same professional rule: after the cut, both actions remain visible.
