The Algebraic Real — high-accuracy quantum chemistry, coupled-cluster, transcorrelated interaction energies, the A24 class of work — lives in one member of the family: Observational time, the continuous second. That is the arena. Shell theory does not replace that arena. It names the can the arena sits in, and it names the mark the arena does not write.
The mark is the tick, placed before the square, not as an exponent on a metre.
