The attached paper explores the profound idea that information is fundamentally geometric — stored and processed through spatial structure rather than abstract, disembodied bits.

The Elegant Symbol Coincidence

The symbol for the bit — I — is identical to EI.

This is not accidental.

  • E = the Elastic Carrier (the transient glassy insulating layer on the 2D D₆ memory surface).
  • I = the Plastic (Real) Information (carbon, the permanent structural mass formed as the slag of the glazing process).

EI = the bit. The elastic carrier provides the medium; the plastic response encodes the actual information through its spatial configuration.


The Mechanical Mechanism
