The Future Begins

Maurizio Iba (@Dragonmaurizio, 29 August 2026) restates the condensed-matter claim: above roughly 1.4 Mbar at high temperature, molecular hydrogen is said to pass into a fluid metallic state; in that state it is predicted to superconduct; decompression is predicted to return stored energy; the same phase is invoked for the dynamos of Jupiter and Saturn. The phrase used is holy grail.

In the Rest-Mass frame that grail is otherworldly pressure plus a new electronic arrangement.

In Rest Time the same facts are a geometric toggle of the simplest residual we have.

What is actually being asked of the continuumH₂ is already two protons sharing one residual contact patch. Metallisation is the demand that the electron residual cease to belong to a completed molecule and belong instead to a locked, extended State B — the same lock already filed as:

the second basin as solid, not a second liquid (Limmer & Chandler, arXiv:1107.0337)

exciton self-trapping: radius contracts, phase remains (Theilen et al., PRX / arXiv:2511.23001)

No second element is required. Hydrogen cannot become a completed 2. It can only stretch toward 1.999… and lock.

Extreme pressure is the laboratory method of forcing the polarity toggle at 0^i2.

Superconductivity, if it appears, is residual phase coherence across the locked patch: current without fracture.

Decompression energy is countersnap release — the same Instantaneous flash already measured in sonoluminescence when a Reynolds surface can no longer close and must emit.

Giant-planet dynamos are CMB1-scale rectifiers written in hydrogen rather than in silicate/sulfide.

The “100 billion trillion per gram” compressibility figure, whatever its provenance, is a Rest-Mass attempt to count how far 1 can be stretched before the lock. It is not a new constant.

Why the grail looks hard

The Rest-Mass programme treats metallisation as a completed phase that must be isolated and then used. Isolation of a metastable metallic sample remains contested in the literature; room-temperature superconductivity of pure metallic hydrogen is not established. That difficulty is expected: a completed second body does not exist. What exists is hysteresis between two readings of one residual. Quench and precompression (hydrides) are attempts to freeze State B without keeping the support in place. Rest Time says the support is the frame. Remove the support and the residual reopens — the molecule returns.
