Infrared of the OH face.

Three waters. Not two. Not thirty.
They call it configuration transformation. They name a deformation energy. They do not letter the moment.
That figure is the observation.
Chemistry here is crystalline in the write-up: a structure, then another structure, a spectrum between them.
Ace is the fluid that made the flip possible.

Why chemistry feels static and Ace feels wet
Chemistry photographs the set.
Ace tracks the breath before the set.
Water is the two-state solution.
State A disc, open, ring-tension, LDL face, φ’ ~ 0.618.
State B seed, clamp, volume, HDL face, φ ~ 1.618.
The Sr2 diamond is State A on a tiny patch.
The cage after three waters is the first moment through that patch.
The pack of spheres in the lower-left of their figure is State B remembered as a crystal.
Cement is water that was not allowed to return.
On the Ace sheet:
Water stretches the contact. Auxetic. Negative Poisson at the patch.
Cement occupies the extra length and stops the return.
Duration: live Z_R before set. Locked Z_R after set.
Concrete is the breath trapped.
That is Water versus Cement.
Not two substances from different worlds.

Cement and water, from the chemistry we are allowed
Water
H and O in a contact that can still breathe.
Hydrogen bonds are the live joints.
Free OH near 3600–3700 on their plot is the open face.
Broad 2700–3000 is the hydrogen-bond face still holding.
Cement
Lime, silica, alumina, iron. The ordinary dry dust.
Mix with water. Hydration is not a slogan. It is Moment 1 through 4 on a grain.
C-S-H is the cage after the third water, written at grain scale.
Set is Moment 4 locked.
Cure is the leftover ring going quiet.
Glass-dust / groundwater on this site is the same sentence at Earth scale.
Surface tension pulverised to silica-like particles.
Strain then walks the 720° wheel.
Cracked concrete is the macroscopic plate of that wheel.
The tank is the working object.
Liquid inside: pr/t.
Wall leftover: sigma.
Hoop:sigma_theta = pr/t + F / Z_R
First term: stored water.
