For my 2008 thesis I built a spreadsheet that required just simple input parameters, fig 1.and then it produced outputs as results and graphs. These are screenshots from my thesis of outputs. I no longer have the excel file that produced them.
The back office sheets were a full suite of the PCA tables, hand copied. There was an intermediate calculation sheet, using the Batty and Westbrook equations, with VLOOKUP formulae to pull in the appropriate coefficient.
The advantage of my sheet was, I only now see, to visually restore the geometric relationship between tank dimensions and forces, moving the coefficients into the background.
I am going to see if Grok can help me rebuild the sheet. This page is the starting point…
